Notion

Notion is the Naarm based project of visual artist & producer Josh M. With a love for liquid metallic and electronic squelchy textures,he draws inspiration from the natural and industrial, to producea fusion between progressive trance and psychedelic techno.

His moniker ‘Notion’ was drawn from the belief that every moment should encapsulate a story and presence with the listener.

He played at Insterstellar Groove Festival 2024, as well as many respected venues across naarm such as Revolver Upstairs, Lucky Coq, My Aeon, Killing Time with crews such as Capture, SHADOWS and Techno Time. Even playing internationally in Portugal for Recovery Collective’s ESTRANGEIR — Fábrica Braço de Prata and, NVRMIND Travels’ Boat Party in Lagos.

With releases on labels such as Techgnosis Records for their VA Psychedelic Satsang and remixes on Frisson Records, State of Mind EP. Collaborated with Haber for his Album on Imminatia Recordings. ‘Dalton Driver in the Land of the Lonesome’ and has many more originals and remixes in store for 2025.
